Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) / Behavioral Technician (BT)
Job Summary:
We’re seeking a dedicated Registered Behavioral Technician or Behavioral Technician with a background in Psychology and a passion for advancing in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). In this role, you’ll work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide essential, data-driven behavioral support for children diagnosed with autism and other developmental conditions. Our ideal candidate is committed to growing their expertise, with a long-term goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of assessments such as VB-MAPP, PEAK, ABLLS, and functional assessment interviews to evaluate clients’ communication, learning skills, developmental milestones, and motor skills.
- Implement individualized treatment programs as outlined by the BCBA, utilizing Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), or combined methods to support skill acquisition.
- Assist in developing and setting specific, measurable behavioral goals in collaboration with the BCBA, caregivers, and medical professionals.
- Document detailed data on program outcomes, client behavior, and progress; maintain precise records in accordance with industry standards.
- Facilitate sessions according to the approved treatment plan, typically 30-40 hours per week, in the client’s home environment.
- Support initial assessment and treatment plan development, including attendance with caregivers for the initial assessment and BCBA orientation to services.
- Ensure compliance with client insurance requirements by supporting authorization processes and reauthorizations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field (Social Work, Human Services, Public Health).
- Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification is a plus; experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is also plus.
- Commitment to ongoing learning, with a desire to progress toward BCBA certification.
- Familiarity with ABA assessments and intervention methods, particularly DTT and NET.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to accurately document and analyze data.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with caregivers, medical providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
